Warm overcast days have seen some good hatches of buzzers with plenty of trout surface feeding. On these days trout can be taken using a floating line fished with buzzers nymphs and mini lures.
Dave Richardson, of Launceston, landed a good 5 fish bag for 13 lb 11 oz fishing an Appetizer. Dave's largest trout was a 5 lb brown in super condition.
Nick Thorne, of Stratton, also landed a good brown for 4 lb 10 oz which was tagged netting Nick a cash prize. Nick's brown was taken on a white buzzer. Pete Wesson, of Hereford, landed a good 4 lb 8 oz rainbow. Pete's 3 fish bag weighed 8 lb 4 oz and was taken fishing buzzers.
On the milder days plenty of fish have been surface feeding on buzzers. On these days fish have been taken on or close to the surface fishing buzzers, nymphs and mini lures.
Richard Colsell, of Newquay, landed a good 7 fish bag for 18lb 8oz on an olive nymph. Dave Richardson, of Northhill, landed a good 6 fish bag for 13lb 15oz fishing a Cat's Whisker and Black Pea. Les Brown, of Ilminster, landed a super 11lb 13oz tagged brown trout on a black and silver Humongous netting Les a cash prize. Christine Harris, of Penryn, landed a good 3lb 12oz rainbow fishing buzzers. Dave Parsons, of Beeston, won the Troutmasters heat at the fishery with 5 rainbows for 11lb 3oz. Dave's largest rainbow weighed in at 4lb 5oz and the bag was taken on an orange lure.
