March and now into April has produced some fine sport at the fishery.
On the warm days good hatches of buzzers have produced plenty of surface activity, with floating lines fished with buzzers, dry flies and nymphs being most successful. In not so favourable conditions sinking and intermediate lines fished with mini lures and weighted nymphs have produced catches of trout.
Christine Harris, of Penryn, landed the best five fish bag at 13lb 14oz fishing a Blue Flash Damsel.
In two consecutive visits to the fishery Christine landed ten rainbows for 27lb.
Christine also landed the largest rainbow so far this month at 3lb 7oz which was taken on a White Minkie.
Dave Johns, of Penwithick, landed a five fish bag for 12lb 3oz fishing a Cat's Whisker and Dave Truran, of Par, bagged three good rainbows for 8lb 15oz fishing a Damsel Nymph.
