On the dull overcast days plenty of trout have been surface feeding. On the wet dank days trout tend to be deeper in the lake with sinking and intermediate lines fished with mini lures, weighted nymphs and boobies being most effective.
Mr Buttle, of Plymouth, landed a good five fish bag for 12lb 8oz fishing buzzers.
Mr Pidgeon, of Princetown, landed five rainbows for 11lb on a Blue Flash Damsel Nymph.
The largest rainbow of the month was also taken by Mr Buttle, of Plymouth, fishing a Bread Crust fly. The trout tipped the scales at 5lb. Mr Buttle’s three fish bag on this visit weighed 9lb. The bag was taken on a Bread Crust fly and a White Pearl fly.
