Warm overcast days have produced good hatches of insects with plenty of trout surface feeding. In bright conditions fish have been caught deeper in the lake.
Mr Loader, of Bude, caught the largest rainbow of the month at 5lb 8oz. The six fish bag weighed 16lb 4oz and was taken on Buzzers. On another trip to the fishery Mr Loader weighed in six rainbow for 15lb 4oz, with the largest rainbow at 4lb. The bag was taken on a Black Chomper.
Mr Snell, of Plymouth, landed nine rainbows for 22lb 8oz on a Daiwl Bach and Red Buzzer.
