April / May 2020 Fishing Report

The latter part of May has seen some great sport at the Fishery.

Policies put in place for these exceptional times have worked well.
A massive thank you to all the anglers who have supported the fishery and have adhered to government guidelines.

The largest rainbow of the month tipped the scales at 3lb 12oz and was caught by Mr Richardson, of Launceston, on a Cat’s Whisker. Mr. Richardson total five fish bag weighed in at 16lb 8oz.
Mr. Reuben Girling, of Mount Hawke, landed nine rainbows for 21lb 13oz on a Cat’s Whisker.
Mr. John Twine, of Liskeard, landed a good five fish bag for 13lb 13oz. Four of the five trout were taken on a Cat’s Whisker and the largest rainbow of 3lb 10 oz was caught on a Black Buzzer.
Mr. Roger Prout, of Pensilva, landed four fish weighing in at 11lb 9oz the largest rainbow weight 3lb 2oz and the bag was taken on a Pink Tadpole.

In warm bright conditions sinking lines have been the most productive but when overcast trout have been surface feeding.
