August / September 2021 Fishing Report

A variety of flies and techniques have been effective this month.

Generally the bright days have seen trout caught deeper in the lake with flies fished on sinking and intermediate lines.
On the warm overcast days the fishery has had good surface activity.

Mr Jewell, of Launceston, landed a cracking 6lb 7oz rainbow and a second fish for a total weight of 7lb 15oz. The brace was taken fishing a Damsel Nymph.
Mr Twine, of Liskeard, landed a good eight fish bag for 17lb 1oz fishing dries, boobies and buzzers. The largest trout in the bag tipped the scales at 4lb 7oz and fell to a Stimulator.

On another outing Mr Twine landed three rainbows for 7lb 12oz fishing a mini cat.
