On bright hot days fishing has been most productive first thing in the morning and later in the day, but in the hotter parts of the day trout can still be caught by fishing deeper with sinking lines.
However, fishing on cooler overcast days has been much more successful.
In 2 consecutive visits to the fishery, Mr White, of Liskeard, landed 10 rainbows for 29lb fishing with a weighted Damsel Nymph.
Mr Hazelden, of Port Isaac, landed 3 good rainbows for 7lb 3oz fishing with a Damsel Nymph and a Klinkhammer.
