March / April 2022 Fishing Report

On the warm overcast days large amounts of trout have been surface feeding on buzzers with plenty of trout caught on buzzers, nymphs and dry flies.
In cooler conditions trout have been deeper in the lake. 

Mr Girling, of Mount Hawke, landed eleven rainbows for 18lb 8oz and released a 35cm brown fishing nymphs and Cat’s Whisker lure.
Mr Twine, of Liskeard, landed a good seven fish bag for 15lb 9oz fishing dry flies, buzzers and a Cat’s Whisker. The largest rainbow tipped the scales at 3lb 2oz.
Mr Hosken, of Broadwoodwidger, landed the largest rainbow this month at 5lb which was caught on a Montana Nymph.
