May / June 2021 Fishing Report

Cool overcast days have seen plenty of trout surface feeding and in these conditions trout can be caught with floating lines fished with dry flies, buzzers and nymphs.
In warm bright conditions, trout have been deeper in the lake.

Mr. Dexter and Mr Harrington, of Liskeard, landed twelve rainbows for 26lb.
The largest rainbows each tipped the scales at 3 lb. The bag was taken on a Blue Flash Damsel.

Mr Munnery of Liskeard and Mr Parrott of Bodmin landed twenty three rainbows for 41lb fishing boobies and blobs in bright hot conditions.  

June / July 2021 Fishing Report

On the cooler overcast days plenty of trout have been surface feeding and floating lines fished with nymphs, buzzers and dry flies have been very effective.
When bright and hot, fish have been caught deeper in the lake with sinking lines fished with nymphs, mini lures and boobies.

Mr Girling, of Mount Hawke , landed ten rainbows for 18lb 6oz fishing a blue flash Damsel Nymph and a Dawsons Olive.

Mr Richardson, of Launceston, landed four rainbows which included the best rainbow of the month at 4lb 8oz. The four fish bag totalled 9lb 12oz and was taken on a Dawsons Olive.
