June / July 2021 Fishing Report

On the cooler overcast days plenty of trout have been surface feeding and floating lines fished with nymphs, buzzers and dry flies have been very effective.
When bright and hot, fish have been caught deeper in the lake with sinking lines fished with nymphs, mini lures and boobies.

Mr Girling, of Mount Hawke , landed ten rainbows for 18lb 6oz fishing a blue flash Damsel Nymph and a Dawsons Olive.

Mr Richardson, of Launceston, landed four rainbows which included the best rainbow of the month at 4lb 8oz. The four fish bag totalled 9lb 12oz and was taken on a Dawsons Olive.
