In cool overcast conditions bountiful amounts of trout have been surface feeding. In these conditions floating lines fished with buzzers, nymphs and dry flies have been most productive.
It is best to avoid the hottest part of the day as temperatures have exceeded the norm, although on these bright hot days sinking lines fished with boobies, mini lures and weighted nymphs have taken some good bags of trout.
Mr Lewis, of Bridgewater, landed four rainbows for 11lb fishing a green and black buzzer. The largest rainbow of the bag was 4lb.
Mr Buttle, of Plymouth, landed five rainbows for 13lb 8oz on buzzers and nymphs. The largest rainbow weighed 4lb.
Mr Twine, of Liskeard, landed six rainbows for 13lb 12oz fishing buzzers.
